    Kyrö Malt

Kyrö’s rye whisky has come a long way. We had no idea how to make whisky "properly," so we decided to distill it our own way and use only Finnish rye. That’s how Kyrö Malt was born. We never filter out the rye at any stage - that’s how we capture every bit of flavor from the whole grain rye. Kyrö Malt rye whisky matures in new American white oak casks.

    Kyrö Malt Oloroso

Spanish sun meets Finnish rye. Kyrö Malt Oloroso is an example of European-style whisky maturation where casks are used to build layers in both the aroma and flavor profile. Kyrö Malt Oloroso matures in ex-bourbon and white oak casks, and is finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The sherry cask brings nuttiness, smoothness, and richness to the flavor. The spice of the rye and the nuttiness and sweetness of the sherry complement each other.

    Kyrö Wood Smoke

Rye whisky smoked using traditional Finnish methods. Kyrö Wood Smoke is a characterfully smoky malt whisky made from rye dried with alder smoke in a 100-year-old barn. Kyrö Wood Smoke matures in ex-bourbon white oak casks, French oak casks, and new American white oak casks.

    Kyrö Peat Smoke

Rye elevated with peat. This exceptional rye whisky gains its unique character from malt smoked with local freshwater peat in a traditional barn. Kyrö Peat Smoke is an innovative blend of two whisky-making traditions. Peated whiskies are common, especially among Scotch island distilleries, but Finnish peat differs from Scottish peat in an essential way: it lacks the mineral, medicinal profile brought by seawater salt and iodine. Instead, Finnish peat yields a more piney and herbal smoke flavor.
